The importance of Breakfast

So what's the deal with breakfast? Why is it so important to get it right?

Cheryl, lead dietitian at EatatEase explains the importance of eating a good breakfast in any healthy balanced diet.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, It's the meal that breaks the fast of the previous night. By starting the day with a filling and nutritious meal you give your metabolism that all important kick-start to the day. If you have a good breakfast you're also less likely to be picking all day and much less likely to be starving before lunchtime.

Studies have shown that in general people who consume breakfast daily will consume 1/3rd less calories a day. Quite simply eating a good breakfast is the first step you should take towards healthy eating. It's a fundamental part of any healthy diet and will help anyone looking at losing some weight.

Cheryl, lead dietitian at EatatEase has some advice on how to make your breakfast a little more interesting. There are so many other healthy options for breakfast, all it takes is a little planning and preparation!
